WaW Sound Player — browse and listen to IWD sounds
hey, ive released a waw sound player, with the same ui/theme as my other waw tools. its for finding the base game sounds by ear instead of guessing filenames. search/filter, play a clip and copy its sound path. theres a normal list and a compact cards checkbox if you want more sounds across the window. play/pause, stop, restart, seeking, volume and repeat are included. it reads sounds straight from main/*.iwd, including localized archives. no raw files or fastfiles in this version, and the copied path isnt a script sound alias. previews dont recreate the games sound settings. put the exe beside CoDWaW.exe and open it. windows 10/11 and webview2 are needed; modtools and a running game arent. it doesnt change game files or save extracted sounds. no exporting. unofficial, made by a community member for the community. not affiliated with Treyarch, Activision or UGX. built with js/rust/vite/tauri and windows xaudio2. source and credits are in the repo.
