WaW FX Viewer — browse and preview Modtools effects
hey, ive released another small waw tool, this time for browsing the modtools fx files by eye instead of opening them one at a time in effects editor. thumbnails on the left, fx player on the right. search by filename or filter by folder, click an fx to preview it, then copy its name. same ui/theme as my other waw apps. play/pause, restart, speed, loop and separate backgrounds for the thumbnails/viewport. effects with lights can also show a simple receiver plane. previews that dont work get filtered out, with counts and reasons in the catalogue info. put the exe beside CoDWaW.exe, with modtools already installed. the game doesnt need to be running. visuals only for now, no sound/editing/exports, and it doesnt recreate the in-game environment or play every fx. unofficial, made by a community member for the community. not affiliated with Treyarch, Activision or UGX. credit to xoxor4d's iw3xo-radiant for the playback algorithms, and the other contributors credited in the repo.
